This week in class we had to use an optical character recognition program to digitize a page of text. The program I chose to download and use was Office Lens. I chose this program because I frequently use Office 365 and am familiar with other Office programs. After it was downloaded on my phone and I played around with it for a bit, I quickly realized it was very simple and straightforward to use! I was able to take a picture of a text out of a book and it converted the image very fast and effectively. This can be a very effective tool to have/know how to use for future school projects. With how quick and easy it was, I will definitely be using it again if I have to do any text converting/uploading. Here is the link to my post on Omeka, check out my OCR conversion —> http://archives.bflorell.com/cms/items/show/8
It looks like that link is to your Admin Dashboard in Omeka, and the item is not published. Could you ensure that link is made public. Glad you tried Office Lens – I’ve been meaning to try it myself!
I think I fixed the mistake! Please let me know if I corrected it or not 🙂
